i'm currently taking a lunch break..i have to be back to work in about 15 mins. this past week has been a crazy one. as most/all of you know, my mom had surgery on monday to remove the cancer on her colon. she's recovering well...the pain around the incision is starting to set in and icecream makes her sick, but she is very relieved to have the surgery over with...as are we all. she will probably be going home friday-ish.
last weekend, a long-time friend of mine from michigan came to visit. it was his first "real" visit to arkansas, and i think it made a good impression on him. as far as oklahoma is concerned..well...that's a different story. it was very good to see him again...but it made for a tres exhausted jenny. after partying late all weekend(and going to the safari on sat morning..yay cute baby lemurs), i dropped him off at the tulsa airport at like 5ish(meaning we left siloam at around 3:30), i went back home and slept for a couple of hours and went to the hospital at around 9:30. i think i've caught up on my sleep since then...but all of this rainy weather plays games with my head.
and now it's time to head back to work..and then back to the hospital. to everyone who mentioned silver dollar city........PLEASE LET'S GO!!!!!!!!!!! i want to do that and a float trip b/f the summer is over...and it's going by so fast!! let's set some dates for these events please? anyone? anyone??

We're totally up for SDC. We haven't even used our Season Passes yet! I'm so glad your Mom's surgery went well and is over with. I'm still praying for a quick recovery and as little pain as possible.
Having people from out of town is fun, but always tiring. Throw on top of those your Mom's surgery and a demanding job... and it sound like you deserve some rest! I've been wanting Vu to take a vacation so he can have some rest from his crazy work life, but vacations tend to be tiring in and of themselves. So I'm trying to figure out what to do about that... maybe I should take him to a monastery?

it sounds like you've been crazy busier than normal, which is hard to imagine. i hope you get to have a restful weekend.
i really wish i could go to sdc and on a float trip. i keep thinking how wonderful the weather will start to be in arkansas and how the leaves will start to change in a few months. if you can, i think the buffalo river would be a great place to go on a float trip. of course i don't know many other places. i think the white river is also pretty. maybe you can make a cardboard cutout and put a life vest on it and pretend that i'm along for the ride. hehe
let's do it! as of now, i have no plans any weekend for the rest of summer, which is unfortunately growing shorter and shorter. the good thing about sdc, is we can make it all in one day. we just have to leave pretty early in the morning.
maybe we could take the monster burban if we all pitch in on gas.
